I have Plex running on my NAS and play via my Oppo 203. The program (from my limited exposure with it) appears to be an excellent candidate for purchase however, the vague and contradictory information concerning licenses / expiration dates, gives me second-thoughts. 1 I have just finished ripping my DVD and BluRay collection to NAS using MakeMKV (MacOS Beta). If the time period is from the release date, shouldn't we still have some time added after installing v.1.5.4? I have downloaded and installed v.1.5.4, checked for a new beta key, and the program is still set to expire 04.29.10!Īfter reading through this forum, I am still confused (uninformed) about how the expiration date did not extend to the posted May date. All programs that use libbluray library (that list includes VLC, mplayer, mpv, Kodi, JMC and many more) can use this API for on-the-fly decryption. The latest version does not build anymore on my. Because there are very good noir films that come out of the fifties, weve included some. The way this library works, it launches a MakeMKV instance in background and communicates with MakeMKV in order to get decryption keys - so working MakeMKV is required for the library to function.
Is this from the time of installation, or from the beta release date? The only reason I can think of is that your system is not up-to-date. I thought we were supposed to have 60 days to try it. Uninstalling and Reinstalling wont do nothing.

Please download the latest version at or enter a registration key to continue using the current version. They never actually updated the key in October. The installation showed an expiration date of 04.29.10 (even after applying the beta key that is 'Sticky' posted). The key listed in Google cache is the one good until the end of September 2015 (I saved a copy of that key).

I only recently became aware of this cool software (v.1.5.2) and installed it (03.30.10)to test out.
